Yadkin Early College began in 2007 with 50 students.  Each year we accept 50 new applicants starting the ninth grade.  Our students are given the opportunity to earn transferable college credits, an associate's degree or a certificate program from Surry Community College while earning a high school diploma.  Our main focus is academics yet we offer participation in many clubs, extra-curricular events and some recreational sports.
