High school classes will be conducted online for the remainder of the academic school year. Students will need to continue to access their classes through Canvas or Google Classroom just as they do when they are on campus. Teachers will continue to post assignments and information regularly. Teachers will also have office hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as any other times posted by the teacher. Students may reach their teachers through methods such as email, discussion boards, etc, provided by their teachers. Students have been contacted by their instructors and will be expected to complete assignments just as they would in the physical classroom. Parents can have access to be an observer for their students online assignments in Canvas. Follow the directions in the "Canvas Parent App All Steps.pdf file included with this news story.
If Early College students need a device to access their online course content they may contact the YECHS office at 336-386-3579 and arrange to pick up a Chromebook. If students do not have internet access at home they may contact Spectrum at 1-844-488-8398 or Yadtel at 336-463-5022 during the school shutdown for free internet. All Yadkin County Schools also have internet hotspots in their parking lots through the Yadkin Guest network. This does not apply to the Yadkin Early College since we are located on the SCC campus.
If any student needs lunch or breakfast, they may contact the closest school to their home and request a meal to pick up Monday - Friday.
